Artist Story
With a background in Communication Design and formal training in traditional art, Rakhshinda’s creative approach is shaped by both artistic craftsmanship and design thinking.
Her study of traditional patterns, painting techniques, composition and ornamentation is balanced by an understanding of how artwork can communicate and function within modern design.
Together, these influences allow her to move naturally between traditional and contemporary forms while maintaining a distinctive and consistent visual language.
Creative Practice
Rakhshinda works across pattern design, surface pattern design, painting and illustration. She creates for personal, commissioned and commercial contexts, allowing her artwork to move across different surfaces, formats and creative applications.
Her process may begin with an intricate traditional composition, a hand-drawn motif or an idea for an illustration. Each piece is developed through thoughtful composition, careful craftsmanship and close attention to detail.

Exhibitions & Collaborations
Rakhshinda’s work has been presented through exhibitions and has extended into collaborations and commissioned projects for brands and private clients.
These experiences allow pattern and illustration to move beyond the studio, connecting her original artwork with the wider worlds of design and visual communication.

Teaching
Alongside her studio practice, Rakhshinda conducts workshops in the UAE and teaches internationally through online courses. She sees teaching as a way to share artistic knowledge while encouraging others to understand techniques, practise with confidence and develop their creativity.
She believes that knowledge grows when it is shared. Through this philosophy, her practice continues beyond the finished artwork — connecting artistic knowledge with contemporary creativity and the next generation of artists.
